I use Coleman lamp fuel for several reasons:
"It's just brilliant, is enough light to do what you want.
"It burns all night if necessary," A. em as if you go fishing, leave a flashlight on the shore of the beach on the boat - so you can find your way in the dark. Not worried about a battery running low.
"They are just great.

The battery lights are in the tent.

I do not want my great Coleman camping with a group of people who want lots of light, but compact portability in a small camp and travel is difficult, the "French Blue Berry beat Camping Gaz lanterns. I've never had problems in finding the cartridges from anywhere in the world, I'm not leaving.

I agree with most of the light battery, except for some new LED small businesses. I have a that a small flying saucer with 12 super bright LED corresponds roughly to the edge, hanging in my studio and light enough to read in my sleeping bag. You can also charge that some solar collectors (www.realgoods.com).

You can not beat Coleman duel fuel lantern. It is light and can be very simple parts for Coleman. We have some who are still bearing with 20 years.

If you have something smaller for backpackers, try a candle lantern.

Battery operated lanterns really eats batteries. In addition to flashlights, I stay away from them.
